This really is closer to the CC506 colors than the photo shows. For the F4A249 to use "leftovers", I have a huge bag of leftover background panels. When I make a background, it is super messy...all over the kitchen sink, counter, my hands, and even my "once white" Keds tennis shoes. It looks more like a crime scene than a work area. So, I make my bkgs on large pieces of cardstock with lots of leftovers. This bkg was made awhile ago with the no wrinkle distress technique - swipe ink pas onto wax paper, sprey with water and press your cardstock into it. I used the same color inks and stencled different designs over my bkg. I used a checkered stencil for the black border. I distressed the edges and added some gold paint pen to the distressed edges. I also have a bag of ribbon leftovers. This black checked ribbon origionally was too bright so I smeared ink over it. This has sort of an antique tapestry look IRL because I used canvas cardstock which gives it a textured look. TFL, Francie

So very pretty...love the dragonflies and the super background you created. Yes, I have lots of leftover ribbon, too. I need to start working on it.

WOW! Another gorgeous creation! I'd love to watch you do your backgrounds! The checkerboard edges look awesome on this Francie! Your choice of images and the gold, distressed edges look fantastic! A favorite for sure!

I really must try that no wrinkle distress technique. I also must allow myself to get more messy than I have in the past, I guess. Anyway, this card is so pretty, and a perfect use of this week's colors!
