This was not what I planned to make when I came downstairs to my craft room. But I was cleaning up some old sample cards to box them up for a bit while I finish up my Christmas cards. These were the perfect colors for a Christmas card. But then one of the cards that I was thinking about just tossing had these rose red flowers on it. So I fussy cut the flowers and used them on this card instead. I stuck with the original greeting and cut it into a circle and started layering and adding elements. It took longer than I had planned, but here it is.

It was time well spent, Kathy! This is such a pretty card with your circle of blossoms and the bits of greenery. The extra layers they are mounted on are special too. Love it!

That is a beautiful birthday card, perfect in this week's colors! I know what you mean--my cards always take longer than I expect them to!
