Creating the background: Scribble Copic marker in three shades starting with the darkest at the bottom. Drop on blending solution and I also used the Perfect Airbrush from Perfect Paper Crafting to spritz on the solution to create smaller drops ans then spritzed on yellow alcohol ink.
In order to keep the nozzles of both bottle and air brush in line with each other I rest the air brush on an empty marker container, placing the screw knob inside a section added stability.
I squeezed a little ink out so it ran down the nozzle and blew it to the paper with the air brush. For a visual a photo is HERE on the blog post.
Once the ink and blender dried I stamped the panel with a background image in yellow but you have to look close to see a bit of added texture. This shows better in real life.
The 1/16" and 3/16" borders were cut with Perfect Layers Mini from Perfect Paper Crafting.
The butterfly was colored with Chameleon pen and to get the light to dark coloring the ink section of the pen is placed against the nib of the built in blending solution and the longer you hold the lighter the ink will be when coloring and as the blender is used up the ink gets darker so the pen does the work of multiple markers. This video is a nice visual of what the markers do.
