This is my card for the Technique challenge to use Copic Alcohol re-inkers to make a background.
I have all the Copic colours in pens but no re-inkers so had to resort to Adirondack Alcohol inks and was limited for colour choice.
It is Remembrance Day here in Australia the eleventh day of the eleventh month where we all pause for a minutes silence at 11am to remember all those who have lost their lives in war.
Little silk poppies are sold leading up to this day to raise money for returned soldiers and their families.
I wanted to do a card that symbolized this hence the poppies and the red.
I got myself into an awful mess doing this card and I had to blot the hand sanitizer off the card because it just wouldn't dry, it also prevented the stamp ink from taking properly but had a great time doing the challenge.
Thanks for looking
cheers
Marg

Absolutely gorgeous! The colour is stunning!
We have Remembrance day here in Canada too, and it's Veteran's Day in The U.S.
Poppies here are not sold, they are given out in exchange for a donation, given out free to all the veterans, and school children.

Beautiful card!! The rich color you achieved with this technique is stunning. I just love the way you carried your image on to the matting, really adds interest!
