IC466 - Challenge is to find an inspiration on Audrie's Beautiful Fountain Pens board on Pintrist. I found a wonderful pen but when I clicked the link it has an error but I found it was to go to Nibs.com. I found this wonderful creation: http://www.nibs.com/www/WEBSITE%20PI...or_abalone.JPG and was inspired to create the vase out of those colors.
MIX93 - The vase was also a color featured in this challenge for the artist France Papillon. Her lovely mixed media is what got me to create the color on both challenges and so I created the vase. It started as white paper. I found a silhouette shaped line the vase and hand cut it out. Then I sponged a royal blue then 4 different craft sprays to get the greened metallic look. Then I heat embossed the flowers once the sprays were dry then added a crackle to get the aged cracks. Many steps but super fun. Once all was dry I shaped the vase to get the rounded edge. The flowers have 4 different blues to get the color. They started as white paper and where stamped, cut then colored and shaped. Finally the green leaves have 3 different greens and were also stamped, cut, sponged and shaped. The really great part is my little guy wanted to know how to shape the flowers and actually shaped several of the blue flowers.
Thanks for looking.

GREAT job Lisa! Your flowers ROCK and it is so cool that your little guy helped with them. Your leaves are BEAUTIFUL!!! AND that vase is AWESOME! Love the sheen (and color) and the beautiful silhouette flowers on the side of it.You captured its essence so wonderfully in this photographs!!!! I also really love the way you added your sentiment through your vase.. Is that a light box that you took your photo in? I was so happy when I got mine.

Creative and artistic way to combine the challenges. Your patterned vase is so beautifully done....as are the layered flowers with the crackle pattern.

Simply gorgeous! I love the depth that your multiple colors give to the vase and flowers. Getting your son interested - BONUS! That's awesome! Thanks so much for playing!
