To create this sky I started at the bottom and sponged on the the following colors of Ranger Distress Ink in the order listed here: squeezed lemonade, spiced marmalade, picked raspberry, festive berries, shaded lilac, broken china, chipped sapphire.
Next the Just For Fun - Lone Tree image is stamped with Memento - Tuxedo Black ink, I then lined up my torn paper mask to the ground portion of the image covering the sky and extended the ground area by rubbing the ink pad directly onto the paper.
I then tore scrap paper like you see in this blog link and sponged on cloud formations and note the second from the top clouds were sponged after using the mask with red ink on it which was used lower on the panel so even though I used sapphire ink to sponge this cloud, it picked up the red from the paper to create the highlight of red on in the cloud.
Other tools: Memory Box - Texture stencil, Perfect Paper Crafting tools for cutting borders, Cuttlebug Tiny Tags die to create the faux brads (they are attached with Aleene's tacky glue and covered with Aleene's Paper Glaze)
Paper: DMD Inc. large groove red, The Paper Man black, Bazzill deep yellow
