A third card for the CC502. Love that color combo and while I had everything out ... . Also for the MMTPT326 "pumpkin" challenge.
I used the embossing folder print technique on this card. Yrs ago when I didn't have bkgrd stamps but I did have a few emb folders, I got the "bright" idea to ink up my folders and press the design onto paper for a bkgrd or to "make" my own printed paper. It didn't work too good until I figured out I needed to mist it w/water first. Hee! It served me as a stamped bkgrd and/or bkgrd paper. Sorry that I don't know it's "official" name. I think someone did a tutorial on it this yr but I can't remember for sure.
HOW TO: Ink up whichever side (positive or negative) of the emb folder you want to show in color. Lightly mist it w/water. Lay the paper on it, carefully close the folder so the paper does not move. Use your hand in circular motion and on it's side to impress the ink onto the paper, taking care to not move the paper. Carefully open and remove paper, let dry. Use as a bkgrd or die cut it. Can mist over it, outline images, add shading/color to images. Whatever you want to do. You can of course color your emb folder and then run it through your machine and you will get the color on the emb piece. I do that, too.
This technique is great because it's like having lots more bkgrd stamps (I do have a lot of those but ...) to choose from. And ... a way to create some awesome bkgrd paper. Note you can do this with pads and/or markers so you can have one-color or multi-color versions. I always try to think of ways to use my tools/stamps to get as much bang for my buck as I can. Hee! Try it, you'll like it.
Thanks for looking!

Thanks for the great instructions on how to ink your embossing folder. Although I have heard of it before, I have never tried it. I will and now that I know to mist it, I am looking forward to trying it. The colors make the embossing folder stand out and adds a whole new dimension to your card. Great job.

What a fabulous ghostly effect - or like a very misty, foggy autumn night. I hope you won't mind if I pop this into the gallery for that technique, to inspire other people!!

Now this one has a totally different look, even though I can see you used a lot of the same tools. It goes to show how versatile some of these things can be. Great card!
