This card started two weeks ago when I found this dancer on a postcard for a ballet company. She was wearing a longer skirt and her sleeves where swathed in fabric, so I cut her down to give a more distinct shape. I used a 2" brayer to apply the blue ink, leaving her looking puffy, and then used a dauber with celery ink to fill in closer to the mask and make a bit of a back-lit or halo effect. Then I spritzed with Smooch Spritz. I also made a reverse mask on acetate, which I used to sponge on some ink and stenciled designs onto the dancer. Finally, I added some text and stenciling to the background before adding the sentiment and embellishments. TFL!
