I am the challenge hostess for HYCCT1430 with the theme Hope Soars. I created this card with my father in mind. He passed away from colon cancer when I was still young in my flying career. But when I graduated from USAF Pilot Training, I'm not sure who was happier, him or me!! He was so proud of what I had accomplished!! I still remember him flying in the simulator during my graduation week. He was a natural!
I created the clouds using the DSP and my Big Shot die. I chose to focus on some of the words in the print for one of the clouds. I folded the paper airplane out of another print. More details here:

Jen, I always admire your clean style but this is especially touching. So sweet about your Dad's support of your career choice and your way of remembering him with this creative design. I hope to find time soon to create a little something for this fabulous challenge.

This is such fun!!! After I saw it, I thought about asking my husband if he would fold a mini paper airplane for me but in the end I went a different direction. Terrific card and great challenge!
