For the My Hero challenge, I had the hardest time trying to identify a personal hero, so I decided to thank all of the heroes that so often get forgotten - our military men. This is just simple paper piecing - I used my CM wavy cutter so it was super-simple. When I thought I was finished, the card looked too "plain", so I added the gold braid and a bit of bordering.

Love the way you used your curvy cutter to make the flag look like it is waving in the breeze! As the wife of a retired Navy guy, I appreciate your choice of hero too!

The wavy strips make a perfect flag! I really love the layout of this card and the addition of the gold braiding gives it an air of official elegance! A fabulous patriotic tribute to our military heroes - thanks for sharing your card and your hero story in this challenge!
