I chose my mother-in-law for this card. I admire how she made everyone feel loved. She was very giving, enjoyed having company, and loved to cook. For this card I used a tea theme because she would say "I'll put the pot on" referring to the coffee or tea pot on for her guests. She also collected china tea cups. I photo copied a recipe in my mother-in-law's hand writing and reduced it for the background paper. She was a lovely woman and I miss her.

This challenge has definitely produced some really meaningful cards-I love that you used your mother in law's recipe in the bg and the pretty teacups look great with the sentiment heart. Among my most prized possessions are cook books from both my late grandmothers with handwritten recipes and notes throughout.

Oh my goodness, what a thoughtful and creative thing to do, creating the bg from your MIL's recipe cards! I absolutely LOVE those two little tea cups. I love the sound of your MIL, always so ready to offer warm hospitality! Thanks so much for sharing your card and your hero story in this challenge!
