For today's sketch, I stretched the layout to be horizontal instead of vertical. This is also for Lori's HYCCT challenge to use warm colors and something fuzzy (my fibers in the upper right).
I started with some leftover pieces of card stock & my hot glue gun on the “low melt” setting. After burning myself one too many times on the hot melt setting, I figured the low setting would be perfect for melting on paper. On the long strip, I first sponged a little fall color on the white textured strip then drizzled the glue haphazardly. While it was still hot, I sprinkled on some sparkly glitter that has some pearl ex like powder in it, waited for it to cool, then brushed off the excess.
On the leaf piece, I puddled a bunch of hot glue in a circle, then melted it smooth with my heat gun. Immediately I pressed the small maple leaf into it, let it cool enough to pull the stamp out, heated it again with my heat gun a bit then sprinkled on the same glitter.
The greeting & maple leaves were copper embossed on vanilla. The greeting was die cut & the leaves were fussy cut. Some metallic copper layers and fun fibers were added to finish.
Thanks so much for looking! Closeups are on my blog: The Write Stuff

How creative and beautiful!! I love it. That leaf in the bottom corner - that is so cool! Looks like one of those plates where they imprint a baby's hand. I love it!!
