This is the second version of this pumpkin image. As usual, I started without any plan for what I was going to do. I scribbled copic markers on cardstock and dripped blobs of blending solution on it. Then I used the masking technique to stamp 3 different pumpkin stamps. I colored over the pumpkins with copics and added shadows with grey copics and black gel pen. For the HYCCT1412 we were to use warm colors and something fuzzy. The little ribbon is fuzzy IRL, but the other fuzzy thing is the distressed edges. I had a special blanket that I carried when I was little...my parents worried that I would still be carrying it when I went to college. Although the blanket was soft, the really soft part was the frayed edges. Whenever I distress the edges of a card I think of that ratty old blanket.

Blending solution plus copics =cool bg! Those shadows within your pumpkin patch look kind of psychedelic. I like it! I also had one of those ratty blankets.....it got so bad I would just carry around the pieces of it...my mom would take away one of the pieces every now and then until the favorite blanket was no more :(

Oh I LOVE this. My son had a ratty old blanket that we finally cut in pieces so he could have parts of everywhere. I think a very small part went in his lunch box to kindergarten! I was of the opinion that adults have their crutches why should he be deprived of his? I loved reading about how you created this lovely thing. Your fuzzy accents are perfect! BEAUTIFUL color pallet....
