When my first granddaughter Clare was born three and a half years ago, for my daughter's baby shower, I made stuffed owl favors. Very rough, very crude, mismatched buttons for eyes, fabrics from Goodwill clothing, sewed to little twigs and then they hung on a bunch of branches in a vase. That's what I thought of when I saw this greeting card from yesterday's IC: http://fineartamerica.com/products/m...ting-card.html
I CASED this paper bag art from Angie's gallery (which is delightful, by the way): Cuttlebug Challenge bag by stampinangie at Splitcoaststampers
I used a Panera bag, which has a pattern on it, crinkled and brushed with the tea dye ink, for one of my layers. The pre-cut owl tag was stamped with the script stamp using tea dye ink and I used mismatched buttons for the eyes. The branches were cut from vanilla, glossy white and wood veneer and the sentiment is stamped on the wood veneer also. I included in the picture my owl from that shower. I think I'll send this card to Clare, just for the heck of it.
