Homework for Day 8 of the copics class was to make some cards from our practice images. I admit to being loathe to cut into my sheets at first, but then I realized I have photographs of my work so I can always refer back to those.
I'm on crutches, recovering from foot surgery so I am very limited in what I can do in my craft room. I also need a bunch of thank you cards. I decided to color another bird from the practice sheets. I went through my bird field guide to figure out which bird this is supposed to be, but it's not really like anything. So I turned it into a warbler. I colored a dark stripe around the eye to make it more realistic than the original image. Fussy-cut and traced around in black.
I used twine to create a perch, made sure his feet were grasping the twine, and added a sentiment on vellum (which I smudged, darn it!)
More complicated than my other cards, but easy enough given my limitations right now. I can color and fussy cut to my heart's content, but anything that requires sitting at a desk is a bit difficult at the moment.
