So far this is my favorite HYCCT challenge. At first I thought no way... And then it clicked... The challenge is to use no adhesive... No tape, glue dots, dimensionals, glues, etc. Oh and can't do a single layer card... So I thought and I thought and then it hit me... So here goes... There is ZERO adhesive on this ENTIRE card. Yes that is correct... I punched holes in the whisper white and card base and added the eyelets which partially adhered the card layer to the base. I then tied twine around to secure further. I then layed down the vertical strip and layered the hearts (3 layers of hearts) and stapled these to the card. I repeated this step for the heart below. I stapled the 3rd heart to the left through to the base. I punched holes right next to the staples and added heart shaped brads to the heart centers. Lastly I used my small heart punch to add a few more fun details, but they were too small to adhere with staples, so I punched holes in the centers and added a cute little heart brad to hold them in place... See... LITERALLY zero adhesive... I am so happy with how this one turned out and so far my fave card for the challenges... Bonus points and kudos for NO adhesives at all!! It's funny how most people's initial reaction is "not possible", but there have been some fabulous creative ideas. And there are some gorgeous brads hiding in people's stash, too. Those layered dimensional hearts are fabulous, and I love the eyelets and twine. I was hoping to see more eyelets getting dusted off too, LOL.
Thank you for playing along and Holding It Together so cleverly with so many layers.
