I absolutely was not going to make another card today...famous last words. Now I am way behind in all the things I have to do. I just looked at the challenges and I was hooked. I love tree images, so I couldn't pass up the WT498 to use trees. Then fall colors and themes are my favorite, and that is what the MIX87 called for. Natural elements are to die for, and that is what the F4A240 challenge was. So I put it all together with the SC507 and ended up being late to meet my friend. This weeks SCS tutorial was alcohol ink marbling. You use a scrap piece of paper and then put plastic (a zip lock bag) over it. Scribble with copics, sprey rubbing alcohol and press glossy cardstock onto it. This was the scrap paper that I had stamped trees on with stayz on ink. I decided to press this into the ink that was left on the baggie. The alcohol made the black ink bleed and I liked the result. The colors were a little dull for me, so I sponged with distress inks. Then I stamped the trees on the plastic sheet from the thing a ma jig, flipped it over, lined it up with the trees and pressed onto the blue area to make the tree reflections. Added some gel pen in white for ripples on the water. I used flat 3/4 inch hemp and metal jump rings. TFL,
Francie

Beautiful, Francie! I'm glad you stole a little time from the things you should have been doing - I recognised the sketch straight off since I'd looked at it earlier to see if I could combine it with my TPT card - not. I love your trees and bright vibrant colours - and my goodness, what a creative use of jump rings! I thought that was what they were on first look and then I decided it couldn't be.

Absolutely stunning. The reflection of your trees in the water is amazing. And your sky is gorgeous. This should be framed because it is truly a work of art !!!!!
