Man, are you all trying to kill me? Yesterday's challenge was to use Kittie's blog for inspiration and then today's is to honor Bridget's creations. Are you kidding me? Two wonderful artists in one weekend?!
Well I decided that I was not going to miss this for the world so here is what I chose:
For Kittie: http://kittiekraft.typepad.com/.a/6a...1743fc7970c-pi
For Bridget: Hope is the Thing by bfinlay at Splitcoaststampers
I made my own paper out of toilet paper, then dyed it with watercolors. Bridget creates such beautiful backgrounds so this was my way of honoring that. She also used feathers on her card. Instead a diecut bouquet of flowers like Kittie, I made a bouquet of feathers. I stamped a word on one of the feathers in place of a sentiment. Sequins, like Bridget's, finishes it off.
I didn't do justice to either of these lovely ladies. Kittie, you never cease to amaze me with your diecut assembly and Bridget, I will miss your sweet personal comments and gorgeous colors and techniques. Thanks for honoring me when I was FS.

No kidding, right? B and K are two amazing artists and hard to case. That being said, THIS IS STUNNING! I LOVE that you made your own paper. The color and texture on this is just amazing. Your bouquet of feathers is just a brilliant idea. Really COOL card~!
I think this is a gorgeous piece of art. How fantastic that you made your own paper. I adore your feather arrangement. I can definitely see touches of both mine and Bridget's card. It is wonderful. Thank you for playing in the challenge. I sure appreciate it.

I think we all want instructions on that paper! You are an amazing and talented artist with an imagination that doesn't quit! I love this and love your muted colors! This is a wonderful tribute to both Bridget and Kittie!

What? Your created that bg with toilet paper? My mouth is open - it creates such a dimensional, textured look - thank you for sharing this technique, I wasn't aware of it - and the soft colours are a beautiful bg for your fab feather bouquet! Jean, thank so much for this wonderful CASE, and for your kind words, sending you a big hug! xx
