'Apple of my eye' is today's F4A theme. Just recently I was 'chatting' with Priscilla about Longaberger baskets & sent her a picture of the Homestead big apple basket. So when I saw today's challenge.... I went right for this set!
The apples are die cut from provocraft die with an apple on top of a stack of books. I made my own leaves from Martha's small 5 petal punch. I also used my friend, Pat Smethers patter for an easel card that she sent to me. It's been a while & I'd forgotten how fun easel cards are to make. Photoing isn't easy. The sentiment on the bottom says 'sending baskets full of warm wishes'. the basket is colored with Prisma pencils.
I am SO excited to be leaving in the early am to go visit my friend Sharon. She moved to AZ over a year ago & this will be the first time we've seen each other since. Another friend is going also & we are meeting Sharon in Terra Haute, IN. It's going to be a jammed packed weekend but it will be soo fun. I can't wait! This card is for her.
Thanks for stopping by.

Have a GREAT week-end, Karen......sounds like you are going to have fun.
Love your "country" easel card with the basket brimming with red juicy apples and the gingham DP. Apples and gingham seem that they were made for each other. : ) Your die cut/punched apple additions are darling.

Love it! This is so perfect with the gingham back ground to show of your basket. It certainly reminds me of the Longaberger bldg. I showed the Longaberger to my DH - he was as fascinated as I was. Then shared it via email with some friends.
