WooHoo Rosalia gave us a great story/you tube this week resulting in a terrific challenge to make a funny card for our very own Teapotter, jdmommyÂ’s husband Jay - I guess that makes him jddaddy? I digress, Jay is recuperating following a total hip replacement.
Here we have Alf snoozing in a hammock and getting lots of fresh air. There are no visible stitches on Alf this week, I figured it was enough that he too has recently had hip surgery. It might be a while before he rides his bike; it is going to need a jolly good clean before he goes anywhere.
Alf started out life as a Sassy Cheryl digi image. His skin is coloured with Copic markers, everything else is coloured with distress inks and an aqua pen. The roof and walls are Kaisercraft dp.
I made a wife for Alf (she was supposed to be behind the lace curtains), sadly Mrs Alf got a bit too much water on her head (donÂ’t you just hate it when your aqua pen springs a leak) and she quite literally fell apart during the adhering process. I didnÂ’t want to hold up posting this card, so Alf will be flying solo to Wayland MA. I hope all our cards bring lots of smiles to Anne and Jay.
It has been a hectic week. I hosted my first ever DTGD challenge, I was worried no-one would turn up, so I was very relieved to see so many friendly Teapot sister faces – thanks girls.
Have a great week everyone and thank you for looking.

Oh Susie yet another amazing creation from you, I love Alf snoozing in the garden!! The tiled roof looks wonderful and I do love Alf's hammock!! Regarding your DTGD challenge - I fully intended to make a card for it - but, sadly, didn't manage too many challenges at all this year!!

How much work has gone into this - gives me a headache just thinking about it all. Well done and so different. Definitely not snoozing in the hammock weather here at the moment.

OMGosh Susie, you are amazing!! Too bad about the wife's head! LOL! But not surprised as you seem to amputate quite often with these adorable cards!! I'm sure she'll have her head back on by the time he gets back from cheering up our patient!!
Fantastic card!!

Cute card as usual and great story. Alf didn't drive his wife to fall to pieces did he?. Great images and all the extras added to a really sweet card. Glad you did good hosting your challenge.
