Woo hoo!! I finished the rest of the Dare to Get Dirty Challenges....just under the wire!! I'm so happy about how the background technique came out since I have not done this before today! I inked up one side of an embossing folder with yellow, 'thumped' with a brown and rust marker along some of the edges, spritzed the whole thing with water, then used it as a stamp on white cardstock. It only took a few minutes to dry, then I used a circle die to cut a portion out, in which I popped up a tag cut from the ODBD 'Recipe Card and Tags' Die Set, stamped with a sentiment from the 'Zinnia' set. The little bee is also from 'Zinnia' and was cut out with the ODBD 'Zinnia and Leaves' Die Set. I also used the circle die to cut a piece of burlap ribbon. (I put a piece of scotch tape on the back of the burlap before cutting so that it would not fray on the edges.) Thanks so much for looking! Have a very blessed day!!

BEAUTIFUL, Angella!!! I love that tag die, wow is it gorgeous!!! Beautiful bible verse, and you've matted it beautifully. What a neat trick regarding cutting burlap, thank you!!! I always appreciate all that I learn from you and the other talented artists here at SCS! I love that you've used burlap, it gives a neat distressed, country feel in addition to the honeycomb and bee, it all fits together so well. And the yellow ribbon just gives a bright pop of color that blends in with the honeycomb background pattern--lovely!!!

Oh, Angie, this is absolutely gorgeous! I LOVE how you've achieved one of the prettiest effects using this technique! WOW! I have to try your way for sure! Beautiful, cheery colors, and I love the embossing folder you used with the wonderful Scripture verse! And the burlap is a wonderful touch with the seam binding and that sweet little bee! Stunning, sweet friend! Woohoo! You finished! Congrats! Hugs!
