Grins, I'm veering round all points of the compass today. My last two uploads were pretty CAS and one yesterday was about as CAS as it's possible to get other than a blank sheet of card. While this is totally OTT (by my standards) vintage and shabby chic, and I had a blast making it for Teresa's DTGD challenge.
Another virgin stamp inked up for this one - I just had to get this little bunny before Verve retired him for good.
Base - sponged with Antique Linen, Vintage photo and distressed.
Next layer - edges sponged with Walnut Stain, stamped with a flourish in the same ink, stitched to base layer with brown zigzag and cream plain stitching.
I wasn't planning to use the scalloped piece but it was in the pad of paper already cut, so I added it and some lace.
Heart cut from two papers and layered onto a scalloped base sponged with Antique Linen and embossed with Square Lattice.
Heart sponged with Antique Linen and Tea Dye, embossed with Square Lattice.
Bunny stamped on white card and stamped off on the base layer at the very start, for piecing his sweater. He's just sponged with Pumice Stone.
Sizzix tag was sponged with Antique Linen, stamped with Linen in Tea Dye, edges sponged with Walnut Stain. Added stitching lines and the sentiment, plus a little heart brad. Had to start all over again when my seam binding tore through the hole - this time I added an eyelet. I used scrunched up binding misted with homemade mists and some twine.
I don't really do bling flourishes so they're not part of my stash but I had a pearl border from Cards Are Me, and I was able to cut that up into little pieces to add some bling...with the centre of the card being SO layered up, the corners looked too flat till I added something.
Thank you, Teresa - I have warm fuzzies after making this. Even if I don't know who ever I will give it to, DH isn't the romantic type.
