While I am in quite a bit of pain and this card took me FOREVER to complete, I DID it!! I incorporated Cathy's sketch challenge and several dare to get dirty challenges!! Although challenging and time consuming, I incorporated a variety of techniques and mediums. Very fun to create despite the pain. I had to celebrate the 500th sketch...sketches are my fave!!
Masculine cards are always a challenge for me but I needed to make a card for a guy friend from church who recently lost his mom. I hope it brings him comfort.
I created my own window with my nestabilities since I did not have a small enough window which would fit this sketch.
I hope you enjoy my summer scene card. Since I can't go on vacation or especially the beach, what a blessing to be there in spirit while creating!!
Thanks for looking!!

Oh, Chris, this is GORGEOUS! I love your take on the sketch and your beautiful sponging of the beach scene with the porthole (how clever!!). And the weaving is wonderful too! Oh, your friend is going to be so encouraged to receive this beautiful card you've made for him with this encouraging sentiment! Hugs, sweet friend!

You indeed encompass many challenges with this striking card, Chris. Sorry to hear that you are in such agonizing pain...that even having your mind on your card doesn't diminish it in the least.

Chris, this card is amazing! That is one of my favourite stamps ever and you have coloured it so beautifully. I love the ship through the port hole and that beautiful and innovative string and circle embellishment.

Chris, this is a gorgeous card and although it took lots of your effort and energy it was well worth it. Your friend will love it. Thank you so much for including my challenge in your multi challenge card. Wow! Way to go.
