I found a free online map for the main focal image of this card and used one of my favorite Penny Black sentiment stamps for the greeting.
You probably noticed the little rhinestone on the state of Alaska. There's a good reason for that. ;)
Our daughter is flying (in a teeny tiny bush plane) to her new home today - in Pilot Station, Alaska, which is off of the road system. Adventures await her as she arrives. As one of four new teachers in that school this year, she will work to make friends and to provide a good education to the students entrusted to her care.
