Debby4000 is the Featured stamper this week. She has a BEAUTIFUL gallery of exquisite cards. It was terrific to be introduced to her work. I chose this CARD of hers for inspiration with its bees and hexagons.
I cut a stencil using a PTI cover plate die featuring hexagons. I then sponged on color where I wanted it. Lastly, I took a large brush and gave it a water wash to soften all the elements. There is glitter on the "meat" of the watermelon, but I used it sparingly to represent the "juiciness".
Congratulations, Debby...enjoy your special week.

Wowsers, I love this card! Cool idea to soften the background with a water wash...I'm definitely going to give that a try. Amazing job combining all those challenges too! Thanks for playing along in the DTGD challenges!

Your watermelon looks so real, absolutely AMAZING coloring, and I love how you've used glitter to emphasize the juicy quality of the "meat". WONDERFUL card!!!

Beautiful, Sallie! I adore those old PSX images and I LOVE watermelon. Great job on the bg and coloring up that juicy melon. Think I'll go cut the one in the fridge!
