Kudos to you, Katie aka Mattsgirl for a wondful and fun gallery. I saved way more than usual to CASE, but ended up with this card because I LOVED your little row of hearts.
I made the design my own, but kept the adorable row of hearts. I had been trying to stamp with corrugated cardboard to make a plaid(it worked after a fashion), and since I liked the way it looked with blue ink on it, I decided to use it for my card. My little heart punch does not work on corrugated cardboard, so I hand cut all the heart shapes. Then when I finally got them laid out to my liking, I took a picture so I could pick them all up and get them glued. The red hearts are made with a scrap of red textured cardstock from Marcos Paper that I got at a recent stamp fair and the sentiment is Stampabilities. I am really happy with how this turned out and am very thankful to you for your idea.
I know I am a bit late here, but maybe it will stretch out your glory day. Katie, keep up the good work.

I LOVE it! And you hand cut all those? They are perfectly shaped too! I do love the textures you used for the hearts and I too, love the blue striped look on the cardboard ones! Outstanding job on casing Katie and a lovely tribute to her!

Carol, I knew exactly what card you CASE'd the second I saw your card! That was such a fun card to do and I always said I was going to go back and do that one again...lol! I can't believe you hand cut all of those darling hearts but all of that careful work was so worth it, because your card is beautiful! Thank you so much for your kind words and for playing along with QFTD and making this such a special day for me!
