Thanks for taking a peek at my card! I began with heavy-duty cream cardstock, masked off about ¼” frame with painters tape, then began sponging Distress inks to make a background. For the next layer I stamped random fish (Great Impressions Fly Fish) and dragon flies (Stampabilities Dragonfly 02) in a darker color of Distress Ink. Next layer was to add a touch of color through a stencil (Tim Holtz Burlap). After removing the masked border I distressed the edges of the card with a distressing tool and added just a touch of ink to them. The tag was stamped with Stampendous Large Tag and colored with more Distress inks. The fish on the tag is Stampabilities White Bass (yup more Distress!!) and the fish itself was colored with 000 series of Copic Markers. I had to double stamp the primary image because the center needed to be Copic compatible ink…I used Memento…but I wanted to keep with Distress for the frame. The tag is mounted on dimensional adhesive and tied with Jute. Finally, the sentiment is part of a Fiskars Birthday Type stamp that is meant to be used with a wheel. I don’t have the compatible wheel so I cut the large stamp into pieces to create lots of smaller fun sentiments.
