This is the inside view of my aunt's birthday card. I used a piece of the HC Floral Keys DP, then using a Quickie glue pen put in some flourishes then added the Autumn Leaves transparent glitter.
I have been told it's best to put a protective coating after using glitter, but I've never done it. So I decided to try the Krylon matte protective coating, and I was not pleased with the results. Perhaps I used too much or just didn't do it correctly. I didn't like how it changed the look of the glitter, and the paper pattern even ran in one small spot. It made the distressing a bit more distressed than perhaps I was planning!!!
I'd appreciate any suggestions regarding using glitter and what you use to make sure it doesn't come off over time--I don't want the glitter flaking off everywhere when I send my cards. I wouldn't use this product again. I've heard you can use inexpensive hair spray... I'd love to hear what works best for you!!!
Both of the die cuts on the inside of the card were colored first with the red and green brilliance inks using daubers. I then outlined the images with a Sakura clear glitter pen (I LOVE these Sakura glitter pens, and was so sad when they discontinued the 2nd set of 12 colors, but I did stock up to have some to play with... They still have the basic 12 colors as well as the clear pen, which is the one I use the most), then covered both images with glossy accents. I still occasionally get a few bubbles, I try to avoid this...
Thank you for checking out this inside view of my card. I am so very appreciative of your comments--I'm excited to receive them and I learn from them.

She will LOVE the inside as well. I have never set my glitter. Mostly I use the kind of glitter that you burnish and it never comes off. But I have used other kinds of glitter and I just send it off...and probably there is some loss of glitter after a while. :-(
Your attention to detail is amazing! Great job...
