Thought I would try another sunset card (CAS279). I have loved looking at both Heather Telford's and Theresa Momber's tutorials for silhouette/scenic cards and used some of both of their techniques here. Masked off the area of the card for my scene. Tore a post-it note to create an irregular mask and used this to create the hills - blended each hill with a different color of ink. Stamped the grass onto the layer in the foreground. Masked the sun w/ post-it also, and then added layers of color and blended till I was satisfied. Took off the sun mask and lightly dabbed color on the sun, so it would not be such a stark contrast. Stamped the silhouette leaves in Walnut distress ink and then the sentiment in black. I don't like to have all my sunset cards be sympathy so I thought this sentiment could work for more occasions.

Such a pretty card. I love the little green plants on the first hill. Fab choice of colors. Thanks for listing the two web sites... can't wait to check them out. This card turned out stunning.
