I am working on transferring ALL of my Clamshell Wood-Mounted Sets to the New Wood-Mount Boxes. It is quite a job, but it is going to be so worth it. Before my Clameshells were stacked 10 high and four deep, and everytime I tried to get one out, they would slide around, and many would fall, opening up, and scattering stamps all over the floor.
This is my first shelf that I have completed. I have these four-deep as well, but I have them on mini shelves so I can see them easily, and when I pull one out, the rest stay put.
I was asked in the comments section how I make my Jacket/Labels for my older sets. Everytime I buy a new set, I make a copy of the label sheet, and put it in my SU Stamp Sets Inventory Binder. I refer to this binder often when I am looking for certain size sentiments, or a certain stamp image. Now since I have so many stamp sets, I am also checking it before I buy new sets, so I don't order new sets that are too similar to sets I already have. So in making my Jackets I made a copy of the set from my Binder, and then literally cut and pasted it (via Glue Dots) on the Jacket Cover. For the sets that I bought before I started my Inventory Binder, I found the catalog that the set was in, and made my copy from there. I put the name of the set on the spine using my Brother Label Maker (In Large Font for my visually-impaired eyes). Hope that helps! :-)
PS: Here is a picture of what my Clamshell storage looked like before I started this project...what a mess!

Looks great (and consistent - that's my failing, I need to have consistency). I've been pulling off the rubber and mounting to the cling foam but for the few sets I have remaining I should be able to follow your instructions and get them boxed in the new style. Yayy! Thanks for sharing
