This is so cute! I would love to try to make one. Can you give me some simple directions? Do you just decorate the outside part of the pages, or do you make some pages to go inside the open part of the bags?
Bonnie
I found some lovely little white paper bags online .... and they are just folded in half. The bags are slightly smaller than the small old fashioned kind you used to get at the grocery store!
I just kinda did this as a project, I didn't have directions, but had seen similar type stuff in scrapbook stores.
Fold each in half. Then I cut cardstock to 4 x 3.25" ... and make a cover, a back cover and all the inside pages. I stamped them up ... I found "simply said" in bold brights fun and "watercolor minis" in soft subtles good matches. I flecked the edges in a matching color to really set it off from the bag ... but I've also seen the bag flecked!
I used snail or mono to glue the flaps closed, then used the cardstock on each page. The cover features the dazzling diamond dust technique found elsewhere on this website.
If you need more specifics, please go ahead and PM me! I'll be happy to try to answer any questions!
Oh ... I forgot the fun part! Punch holes in the folded side and use fibers or ribbons to keep the bags altogether! Or ... you can stitch them together, I'm sure stapling would work too!
In the parts where the bags open, I cut coordinating card stock and fibers for pull out tags!
The punches in the graduated sizes from SU (the round and squares) work great for punching out pics (cropping) and using a coordinated color for the backdrop. You'll see that technique on one of the other pages.
Have fun! Junk it up! Embellish it with fibers, ribbons, buttons, beads, brads, etc!
