Whew, three hours later and I am back with a card. Mercy me, next time I will have a plan. I sure didn't have one when I started. I took crayon shavings and put on glossy card stock, then I covered it with wax paper. I used my heat gun to melt the crayon shavings on the glossy card stock. I used a dish scraper over the top of the wax paper to spread out the melted crayons. I like the way this background turned out, but I could not decide on an image that looked okay with it in the right colors of paper. I had originally thought I would put a flower on it so I used white ink to put flowers over the crayon background. The colors seemed to masculine for the flowers so I ended up with this image that I had colored long ago. Anyhooo, next time, I hope I plan better and maybe it won't take me 3 hrs. This was a learning experience.

Ah, but learning is great!! And some cards just do not go where you thought they would. I have two binned attempts from this challenge. I think the contrast of the white flowers on the blue is just gorgeous. While it looks great with that fun moose, I personally wouldn't have found the background overly masculine - it would have worked really well with a big flower as the focal image too, I think. Great idea for melting the wax and spreading it, too!

Missed this one till now because of a crazy weekend, but reading about how you did it was fascinating - the effect the crayon shavings created was a cool BG for just about anything!! Your cute moose did NOT make a mess - just made me smile! GREAT result, Shirt!
