My boss is turning 50, so of course I needed to make an age-slam card to give him from our team.
Used MFT Blueprints 14 elements to assist with the layout.
Die cut smart phone several times using black cardstock and (for top layers) a fine glitter cardstock I had picked up at Michaels. Also die cut the little red phone button from fine glitter red cardstock. Cut a rectangle of white shimmer carstock just slightly larger than the phone screen opening and another the same size from a sheet of acetate. Assembled the phone using glossy accents.
Talk bubbles were computer generated using some fun "elderly" texting acronyms/translations. Die cut using talk bubble dies from MFT and Lawn Fawn. Used glue dots to adhere to the phone, with small foam adhesive dots to support the overhanging part and to add stability.
Stamped my sentiment in black and added the enamel dots.
Inside, I made my own sentiment with the AARP in red:
Welcome to the AARP years!
