Cathy's WT Challenge was to use "sand". Again, I went into my husband's workshop and found a scrap of well-used sandpaper(did this a few weeks ago for a MIX Challenge). It is the base of my jar where the shells sit. It already had "dirty" markings on it which I liked. : )

And what beautiful memories this jar of seashells evokes, Sallie! I think of those days long ago, scouring the beach in Carpenteria, coming home with a coffee can full of seashells. Thank you for this beautiful card and carefree memories!

I love it. I live near the Texas gulf coast, but have never gotten to travel to some of the beautiful beaches of the world. I have a friend that did, so I use to send empty film cannisters with him to collect up some sand for me. It is interesting studying the different sands found. Now for the life of me, I can't find even one of those cannisters. It is probably in my school stuff out in the garage.

What an evocative image you have created! Judging by the comments so far I'm not the only one who thinks so. Who doesn't have seashells somewhere in their home? Great idea to use sandpaper but the jar idea is pure genius! Lovely card Sallie!

Such a unique and creative way of meeting this sandy challenge, Sallie - the jar of beach sand and seashells looks perfect against your sandpaper panel.

l Love this Sallie! Like you I find a lot of my craft supplies in Mr. Noofy's workshop. LOL They hoard a lot of neat things in their inner-sanctum! Perfectly simple design and very well presented. Gorgeous.
