Maura (what a lovely name!) has a beautiful gallery, just my cup of tea. This is her lovely card that inspired me: FS380 Sympathy by beesmom at Splitcoaststampers
Things I kept: interesting background, the tree, and this will be a sympathy card, with the sentiment stamped inside.
This is also for yesterday's IC. What a wonderful wonderful collection of journals. I am so undisciplined, journaling has never been very successful for me, although I like to buy journals! These are the two journals which inspired me: http://www.pinterest.com/pin/387591111653819364/ http://www.pinterest.com/pin/387591111653819639/
This is also for Friday's MIX, which was to use heat (heat embossing here).
This is how I create: very randomly. I had done this Yupo background sometime within the past year, but had no plan on how to use it. I keep a 'bag of tricks' containing discarded things that either didn't work out or I was experimenting, like with this background. I can't remember if I used watercolors or Splash Inks to make the background. The inchie is also a kept piece, back when I often did inchies. Note to self: when creating something but not using it right away, make a note of the products used AND DO NOT HEAT EMBOSS YUPO. It's sort of like plastic and it melts and warps. Good grief.

You and me both on the buying but not writing in the journals I buy! You sure did well with the water color background. Aren't random creations just the best. I never can understand people who plan it out ahead.
