My leaves are green simply because I'd cut them a couple of weeks ago when I didn't like the way a spritzed sheet of card had come out, but didn't want to waste it. And I found them last night when I was tidying my desk, so there were sitting in a pile of to-use stuff.
I stamped the Woodgrain on kraft using Versafine Sepia, and trimmed it down. Originally I'd planned to sponge the base with either brown or green distess stain, but in the end I liked the white base. I cut one leaf aperture for the top leaf to be falling from, the middle one is glued directly to the paper, and the bottom one is popped up on foam.
While I have a large collection of IO stamps I have very few word ones, and have to get creative when it comes to adding sentiments ;-). For this I used a TCW stencil (I was tickled, because it's a Julie Fei-Fan Balzer design, and I noticed Audrie had a pin from her blog.
I used modelling paste to stencil the letters and then acrylic paint to make the white a bit stronger. Marker stitch-lines finished it off.

I love it when I can use something from previous crafting sessions! This is a beautiful interpretation and I think it is perfect for male or female recipients!

I love the modeling paste and stitching on your card. Great leaves. that felt journal cover was really interesting...great inspiration!
