I don't usually play this challenge, but when I happened to notice that this week's Queen was Nancy, I had to pay her the honor. I am admirer of Nancy's wonderful style, and I love the way she uses both the old and the new, mixing handwork with digital enhancement.
I chose THIS card to be inspired by. I don't know how Nancy juggled so many layers plus several kinds of sewing here and ended up with something that looks so resolved and clean and crisp, but I guess that's Nancy for you! I didn't try to duplicate it. I just tried to capture its charming rustic beauty. Thanks for all your inspiration, Nancy!

What, you didn't take this as an opportunity to venture into stitching ;-) - joking. The amazing fibre banana paper has all the texture you could want and I don't think I'd try stitching on that! I totally love the little ladyburd on the sunflower, a tiny detail that adds so much. I know it's in the stamp - makes me wish my big sunflower came with a little ladybird, though, it's so sweet.

I think you have captured the essence of Nancy's card and style very well! Love that image of sunflower and bug. It looks great on the embossed panel. Wonderful rustic 'handmade paper' looking background. All round lovely card!
