Another card to honor Nancy, the Queen for this week. I was inspired by this CAS CARD of hers with the single element and a few well chosen details in the bg.
F4A224 = vellum. Mine is a large part of the bg with its swirling whitish dots. I sponged color on the back before gluing it to the white CS.
MIX71 = sand. I used "well-used" sandpaper for sand. : ) Other media was inks, Copics and a paint pen.

Oh how fun is this! You are so clever to use sandpaper! It seems so obvious but I doubt I would have thought of it! Love the pin wheel!

That sandpaper was a brilliant move Sallie..perfect for a sandy beach! I love your vellum bg...so creative and what more does one need for the Fourth but a red, white, and blue pinwheel! Super cute!!

Oh I love this. I have a piece of sandpaper on my desk as I practiced the sanded pencil background. I never even thought of using it for sand! You're so clever!! Your pinwheel is awesome too. I also have some vellum dp I've never thought about!!

Sally, what an honor to have you do two cards! I love the sand on this! Who but you would have thought to paint sandpaper! That is awesome! I would have sworn that pinwheel was 3-D due to your incredible coloring and shading! Thank you SO much!
