Come and join us t-potters this week as we help encourage little 6 year old Austin. He has some difficult medical issues and is still being very brave.
He has lost his eyesight so he is learning to feel , so we are making cards with lots of textures.
this week we are helping bring a tutor to help Elmo with piano lessons so he can play in the bigtime. big bird is getting frustrated so to help I am bringing a tutor stand in until the real one comes along, named Charles (Tickle the Ivory ) McGee.
I wanted lots of texture and the first think I saw was one of my sons fake mustaches sitting around so that is where my inspiration came from. I used the soft fluffy mustache and then a pom-pom for his nose and layered the eyes with cut out circles...almost straight...well the little black hole punched ones are..lol, then added a smooth fancy velvet bow-tie along with a fancy sparkly top-hat.
I read he is learning brail so I tried his name punching out brail letters I saw on line with that little tiny ball tipped tool, forget its real name..lol. I hope it will work for him. I knew you had to do the letters backward, but after the first look I realized you have to do it mirrored too. Then just finished off the hello in poofy foam letters for him. Going to do a little joke inside for some fun.
Thanks for the visit...:0)

So cool with all the different textures - the moustache has made for a wonderful fun piano tutor! (He kind of reminds me of an electronic musical keyboard with games that we got my nieces). The glitter-card hat and bow tie are cool too. And Braille for his name - well done you!
