Wonderful mixed media and card samples today. Here is my Sepia toned card called, Coffee House.
I laid down a light dressing of Gesso on my paper and let it dry. Then I embossed one side of the paper about 3/4 way down. I kept the right side lighter as if light might be filtering in from a window. I laid down my already stamped and cut out image to get an idea of where to drizzle my glue. I chose to put the glue on the wall and underneath the coffee cup. The only coloring is the coffee bean on the cup. I put vintage photo ink over the glue on both pieces separately, then put it together.
I love the warmth of this piece. Hope you do too. Pull up a chair and let's have a coffee together!
Sincerely,

Ack!! I had just decided it was too late in the day for a mug of coffee, but guess what I really want after seeing this ;-). I can practically smell it. I love the warm rich vintage look - makes think of cafes in Paris and Greece. When we were kids, our picnics were always sausage sandwiches on bread, and then the stovetop espresso went on the camping stove ring to provide coffee for the adults. So this brings back a lot of happy memories .

Oooo, I would love to pull up a comfy chair, pour a cup of coffee and have you show me exactly how you did this! All of your cards are beautiful Susie, but your mixed media projects are always a sight to behold....love all of the wonderful, artsy details in this piece! Hope all is well with out! Big hugs...
