Sheri challenged us to honor a service member for Military Appreciation Month. As it draws to a close I needed to recognize my nephews who both served in combat zones in the USMC. Drawing on much inspiration from other weekly challenges here is my card for Tom, the older one.
Stared with Audrie's wonderful EF stamping technique for the BG using random spots of red and navy. Stamped Band of Brothers in Navy and cut/matted with the oval Nestie. Heat embossed the sentiment in Whisper White, then arranged the rectangles in Janette's wonderful sketch pattern. Added the stars (dessert from Barbara's color challenge) and done. PT - 5
Thank you Janette, Jenn, Barbara, Sheri and Audrie for your inspiration. Thank you all for looking and have a peaceful day.

What a fabulous image you chose for your nephew! I love your background and the layout with the use of the "Hero"! He truly is a hero. Fantastic card for him!

You should be very proud of your nephews, and I'm sure you are. When you chat with them next time, please thank them for their service for me! This card is brilliant--so many wonderful elements, so many challenges. And perfect for a veteran of the Marine Corps. Thanks for playing in this week's color challenge!
