Wanted a VERY narrow black strip between the embossed and DSP panels since the black mat for the focal image was so narrow. But I DID want it to be a layer, not just a drawn line. So I took a scrap of lighterweight white c/s and used a black Copic to make a narrow black border. This way, when the card is viewed from the side, you don't see a black panel peeking out. And, you don't have the "bump" that you sometimes get when only using a thin strip under your layer. (Hope that makes sense!)
Used glossy accents to adhere a small button border below the sentiment.
TFL!

So sweet Debbie. Your co-worker will LOVE this. The embossed dots really play off the border of buttons - great design. Your coloring is impeccable as always ... and it's such a sweet image from Penny Black ... makes me smile

Very sweet and adorable! I love how you did that thin black layer with the Copic - very clever and storing that little bit of info away (and thanks for explaining how you did it so well). Gorgeous colouring of the hedgie too :-) And into my favourites it goes......
