What a mess I made of both of these challenges. I suppose that is the only way I might accomplish these techniques. I will keep trying and keep making messes along the way.
The inspiration picture is the second one that is shown in the thumbnails with the dots. I started with masking, then added dots of ink and sprayed with dilisusions spray.

Shirt....I think you did a great job with the mixed media effect....I never got around to doing it......and that technique brought a wonderful 'pattern' to your background for the inspiration piece...fabbo, gf

Beautifully inspired creation! What a cool take on the inspiration piece! I was also inspired by those dots but couldn't figure out how to interpret them into a card - you hit the nail right on the head!

LOL, because I used the dots too - just about to go and take a photo of my card. I don't think this is a mess at all, Shirley. A lot of the fun of mixed media is that you can just go where it takes you, and because you don't start with a preconceived idea you can (usually) be happy with where you end up.
