Hi everybody. It has been a little while since I uploaded anything. We have had some family medical issues that have required a good bit of my time but things seem to be improving around here so I got a rare day in the craft room! I decided to use Power Poppy's new digital image "Gladioli". It is a beaut! After sizing and printing it out, I colored it up with copics, die cut some patterned papers and card stock to make my card base and panel, did a little stitching, and added a ribbon and button. Next, I printed my sentiment, die cut it out, sponged some ink on it and my image oval, gold leafed some of my edges with my Krylon gold leafing pen, layered my sentiment and attached both to my card layers. For a couple of final touches, I added some pearls and some shimmer with my Atyou Spica Clear Glitter pen. A little tip here....to get your image panel to cozy up to your ribbon and lay nicely, just use a small circle punch to notch out a little space. Works like a charm! There are more pictures and details on my blog. Thanks so much for taking a peek and I hope you have a fantastic weekend!

Simply beautiful! Love the flowers and the oval card base. It really fits well with this. Love the pearls! Thanks for the tip on the punch and bow! I'll have to give this a try!

Oh Katie, Katie, Katie! How do you do it?! When I need a doze of beautiful, a "card prescription" from your gallery/blog makes my heart sing! I love your notch idea, and I'd love for you to share how you get such a nice clean, straight line with your gold leafing pen -- pleeease. : )

Miss Kate, this is about as purdy as a card can get! Mercy, I love every inch. Your gorgeous blooms, fine stitchin' and magnificently matched colors and patterns are a dream!
