Today the Teapotters are making cards of encouragement for a fellow SC gal, JoAnn (iluvscrapping). She is currently in the hospital and just recently, tragically lost her husband. She is in my thoughts and prayers, likewise, many of her SC friends I'm sure.
I like the Edith Edman quote that I used for my sentiment. I hope JoAnn finds it to be a comforting reminder.
"Never doubt in the dark what God has shown you in the light."
I started my card using today's CC478 colors of real red, old olive and subbed for daffodil. Then I decided I needed to sponge some blue and wanted to add the blue printed paper bkgrd so ... that was out.
The red plaid umbrella, boots and collar were inspired by this plate that I saw at Ralph Lauren, last Saturday's IC440 site.
The inside has some more flowers (likewise does the envelope) and bunnies.
THANK YOU for looking!

What a sweet little paper-pieced PI gal, Gabby. And I love your flower meadow foreground - you're great at those!! With the tall grass, it reminds me of the grounds of a castle we sometimes visit (it's quite far, so we don't often get there) where, apart from the formal gardens, they let a lot of the grass just grow as a meadow all summer long. I love it . And it's full of dragonflies and butterflies, just like your card.
I think I could do with paying some heed myself to the verse you've chosen, too!

Oh my goodness Miss Gabby this is super adorable. I love how you used patterned paper for the sky, it is so effective with your beautifully coloured field of flowers. Your little paper pieced cutie makes me smile my friend. This gem is safely tucked away in My Favs.

Oh I just love her lil outfit and the bg for this sweety. so cute and that sentiment is perfect. Would be so fun to join her in this walk, and then come home and have dinner on that plate setting. Hubby is part scottish so the tartan would be so fun, neat choice and great job combining the challenges...TFs..:0)

Cute, cute and more cute! So many details on this...love the grass/flowers especially. The paper piecing on the boots and umbrella is perfect and that scripture is not only encouraging but beautiful!
