This is for the MIX67 challenge, Take Away. I actually 'took away' twice. On Friday, Nancy (stiz2003) & I experimented with using as embossing folder instead of a background stamp. We are doing the same online w/c class. My background from her house is in the trash. But I have the same ef & wanted to use it. My first 'take away' was after I patted the Versamark onto the raised side of the ef, I took a paper towel & wiped some away. Then I embossed with white ep. Then I took a drops of So Saffron & Piourette to which I added several drops of water. Then I did the colorwash. After it was completely dry, I did the 2nd take away - using the iron, I melted the embossing away. I thought the sentiment would cover the white remaining lines, like the sample, but at least you can still read it. My 2nd medium was the tulip which I colored with Crayola pencils - 2 greens & 2 yellows.
This was really fun!
Thanks for stopping by.

Such a sweet sentiment on your tulip card! The colorwash softness and the vibrant stamped areas really come together nicely. The "take way" technique gives the right amount of interest to the background. I love it!
