For this week's ways-to-use-it challenge, to use either the flower or the gemstone representing the birth month. Okay, I'm a Christmas kid... Holly and a Christmas card, it is. It's curious-- Another time when Linda hosted WTUI, she asked us to use our state flower as inspiration, and I had to use this same cutting plate, tweaked to show Oregon grape in bloom.
I used this week's sketch for the layout, adapting the split negative technique to produce the two background panels. You can see the twin in front. Forgive me-- I placed the rhinestones where they make sense for holly berries, not necessarily where the sketch indicated.

What a pretty Christmas card! I can see why you wouldn't place the rhinestones where the sketch called for them - you'd have everyone wondering what your vision was!

I remember your Oregon grapes card, I had to google them to find out a little more. Great adaptation of the split negative - I always like "two for the price of one" cards. And the gems make wonderful holly berries.
