I have had to get pretty creative with my storage. Not only is my current crafting space in the "formal living room" which is the first thing a person sees when walking into my home, I also can't bend or squat after a recent injury. I'm trying to keep it as low budget as possible, since we will be building something custom for the space as soon as our loan closes on the house. I don't want to put anything more than we already have into it, just in case.
I found this at Hobby Lobby over the weekend. It's made by The Paper Studio. It is intended to store embellishments or acrylic/photopolymer stamps, but I discovered that it was perfect for storing all of the thin Big Shot dies and embossing folders. Anything that I didn't keep the packaging for went into 6"x8" cello bags. My cats haven't attempted to turn it into a toy yet. I hate clutter, so I'm doing my best to find a way that will work until I'm able to do more. I hated digging for dies anyway, and I don't want to store them on magnets. The idea of taking them out of their envelopes makes me nervous. I am really good at losing things and don't want to have to replace any.
This was less than a set of framelits. I got it for $17.99. Also, it comes with 72 clips, which I don't see myself needing all of.
