A friend and I attended a convention where Local King Rubber was demoing this fabulous stamp. She even let me try it and instant success, until I tried it here. Thirteen tries later I got it. I wondered if they used special paper because it certainly did not work as easily as when she coached me. Thanks Joan, for a fun technique. I did stamp over my background stamp so hope this counts. You do always give us such fun challenges!
Thanks for looking.

Yes, fabulous! Love the wash colour of the adorable birds and the subtle yet visible bg. The little bit of stitching and twine wrap is just perfect on this.

Oh, I am a big fan of Local King and Lisa's marker stamping technique! I have been eyeing those chicks for a while but want to wait until I can afford to also get the matching dies.
I think your results are beautiful. Yes, it takes a bit of practice to get the right ink colors in the right places, but it looks like you are on your way. I think Lisa has some YouTibe videos up as well. Here's one using your stamp:
Local King sells what I think is the best glossy paper, by the way. I always have some in. I confess I like it better than Ranger's.
Lovely card!

Nancy, this is FABULOUS. I love the watercolor effect(of course) on your little birds which is incredible. The composition is divine with the bg stamping, birds and little wisp of a leafy branch. The zigzag stitching and lovely bg DP all go to make a BEAUTIFUL card.
