Today's MIX66 challenge is "Things That Fly". If you look closely, you will see a brad on the corner die...there's a butterfly there. I cut my dies 3 times and glued them together, then embossed with silver EP, then gold EP for accents. That gave them a metallic look that doesn't show up very well here.
Then, I was trying to figure out how to incorporate the F4A challenge to use wood with my metallic dies...I decided to do pink accents. I kinda like it....and it will go to a woman sometime...good for my stash. Never enough birthday cards.

Oh! Vicky - I had some panelled paper and didn't know how to use it - NOW I know! The metallic elements go really well with the background - great birthday card.

Oh Vicky... how clever are you to cut the dies 3 times and then use silver AND gold! I love the metallic look you achieved, and the wood background is perfect with the metallic! I love the added pearls... a sweet feminine touch!!! Beautiful as always!!!

You really achieved a gorgeous effect with the silver embossing and gold accents, Vicky. Beautiful choice of die cuts to create your main focal point. The "wood" bg adds a pleasant and unexpected contrast which is lovely.
